Job summary

Bowman Outsourcing in Pretoria is seeking an Earth Observation Science & Technology Developer to design, develop, and implement advanced software for processing and analyzing satellite imagery and geospatial data.

You will work with scientists and engineers to build scalable pipelines, implement image processing algorithms, and deliver visualization and data fusion tools for research and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Engineering degree required.
• Experience with Java, Spring, Angular, and RESTful services.
• Experience with geospatial data, Earth observation, and remote sensing.
• Familiar with large-scale data processing pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions for Earth observation data processing, analysis, and visualization.
• Integrate data from satellites, ground sensors, and climate models to provide insights.
• Develop algorithms for image processing, feature extraction, and data fusion.
• Create tools for geospatial analysis and visualization to support decision making.
• Collaborate with researchers and interdisciplinary teams on ongoing projects.
