Led by a team of mining executives with operational and development experience and proven success in creating value, Allied Gold aspires to become a mid-tier next-generation gold producer in Africa and ultimately a leading senior global gold producer.

The HR Business Partner Lead will be responsible for managing the effectiveness of HR service delivery and advice across operations. They will take accountability for executing and standardizing best practice HR transactional and transformational solutions across all operations. Additionally, they will support the COO and General Managers in developing people solutions and ensuring compliance with in-country legislation and governance.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain effective trust relationships to enable effective people advisory services with operational management and HR leaders.
  2. Oversee administration processes supporting the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, policy advice, attendance management, talent development, performance reviews, learning processes, and employee offboarding.
  3. Manage the standardization of HR practices across operations, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  4. Serve as the operational custodian of the HR system, maintaining data accuracy, ensuring process adherence, and resolving system queries. Drive user acceptance and utilization at the business unit level.
  5. Support the VP HR and senior HR teams with business and people optimization initiatives.
  6. Transition to a Business Partner HR Operating Model.
  7. Ensure guidance on in-country regulations, company performance, and strategy is accessible and clearly communicated to employees.
  8. Provide strategic, independent, and objective advice on employee matters.
  9. Align initiatives with relevant labor legislation and develop a framework for collective agreements, building relationships with labor representatives and inspectors.
  10. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, develop business cases, and track implementation.
  11. Plan and manage business optimization processes, including readiness, redundancies, and deployment to achieve optimal results.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology.
  • Minimum of six to eight years of experience leading operational HR management, preferably in mining.
  • Understanding of technical aspects of mining to advise employees and managers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills for advisory and consulting services.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Willingness to travel 25-40% across operational jurisdictions.
