Visual Merchandiser Champion - V&A Waterfront

In-Store VM Specialist

Department: Retail Operations

Direct Reporting Line: Retail Store Manager

Purpose & Impact on Organization

Contribute to meeting or exceeding store sales and profit targets by ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of the global visual merchandising direction in the assigned store.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Communication: Cascade information from the Market VM manager to SM and staff through training and meetings. Participate in team meetings to understand needs, stock delivery, and analyze sales and retail KPIs to drive VM strategies. Provide feedback to RBO on store needs after discussions with SM.
  2. Standards & Presentation: Ensure store complies with global standards for a pleasant shopping experience. Maintain high standards in window displays, mannequins, lighting, cleanliness, and pricing. Create clear Shop-In-Shop displays to emphasize categories. Use and position in-store communication tools correctly. Conduct daily audits and monthly submissions on VM compliance, updating the space management tools accordingly.
  3. Team Leadership & Training: Lead in-store VM team by example, organize work schedules, and train staff on global VM standards, including merchandise presentation, use of tools, and store wall configurations.
  4. Reporting & Market Analysis: Stay updated on competitor analysis and fashion trends. Communicate store needs for fixtures and ISC to the Market VM Manager. Keep equipment in good condition and manage fixtures carefully.
  5. Customer Service & Operations: Execute brand customer service standards, act as a brand ambassador, use product knowledge effectively, minimize stock loss, and perform store operations safely and efficiently. Collaborate with team members and pursue continuous learning.
  6. Key Relationships: Interact with consumers, peers, and supervisors.
  7. Knowledge, Capabilities & Experience: Organized, detail-oriented, good communication skills, self-motivated, team player, problem solver, with a good eye for style. Minimum high school education, fluency in local language, ARP level, and preferred 1-year visual merchandising experience.
