Job Description
The Director is responsible for actively promoting and positioning IQ EQ Group's brand to develop and grow sustainable business, including identifying cross-selling opportunities to enhance revenue and profitability. The primary focus will be on Fund Administration services, with secondary emphasis on Corporate, Private Wealth, and Family Office services.
The role involves positioning the Group as a service provider of choice, especially for South African-related business, maintaining relationships with introducers, and generating new business opportunities. Responsibilities include supporting the Business Unit with client onboarding, billing, and overdue recovery.
Tasks
- Contribute to revenue growth and meet sales targets.
- Assist in developing and reviewing the BU's strategy and devising new growth tactics, especially in South Africa.
- Build a pipeline of targets across funds, corporate, private wealth, and family office sectors.
- Plan business trips effectively and provide post-trip feedback.
- Conduct market research, client, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
- Attend conferences and networking events.
- Promote fund administration and global offerings to fund managers.
- Engage with partners for introductions in fund management and promotion.
- Prepare RFPs, proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral.
- Maintain the company's brand and reputation, ensuring high standards of client service.
- Develop relationships with local and overseas introducers to increase business opportunities.
- Support new sales initiatives and seek client referrals.
Responsibilities
- Execute sales strategies, close deals, and meet targets.
- Identify target markets and plan to acquire new clients.
- Manage client onboarding and handovers.
- Maintain proactive relationships with introducers.
- Identify client needs and collaborate with product specialists to develop solutions.
- Work closely with client directors and operations to ensure excellent client service.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across the company and group.
- Stay updated on sector developments and regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with BU and product teams on inquiries, RFPs, and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with policies, licenses, regulations, including cross-border business requirements.

Experience & Education
- Degree or professional qualification.
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience, preferably in financial services and the alternative funds space, with an established network.
