Job Description

Job Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with Insurance Level IV qualification.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
  • 5 – 8 years' experience in underwriting and leading a team of portfolio managers.
  • 3 – 5 years' experience in insurance sales.

Provides specialist knowledge and executes account development strategies and sales business plans to achieve large-sized sales targets.

Responsibilities

  1. Data Collection and Analysis: Use data from various sources to analyze key themes and identify potential impacts on the business.
  2. Information and Business Advice: Provide specialist advice on policy interpretation and application, resolve complex queries, and enable appropriate actions.
  3. Document Preparation: Write and edit materials tailored to different audiences, matching tone and content to their needs.
  4. Insights and Reporting: Contribute to reporting strategies, lead complex report execution, identify patterns and trends, and translate insights into recommendations.
  5. Customer Relationship Management / Account Management: Develop and implement relationship plans for complex customer accounts, build relationships with decision-makers, and ensure customer needs are met.
  6. Financial Advice: Provide financial advice within a limited complexity scope, considering client demographics and needs.
  7. Sales: Sell standard products/services and supervise sales teams.
  8. Operational Compliance: Monitor and review performance for compliance with policies and regulations.
  9. Personal Capability Building: Act as a subject matter expert, maintain external accreditations, and stay informed on industry practices.
