Job description

Busy daytime Restaurant & Café in Milpark, JHB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Stock Controller / Kitchen Manager to join their team.

The suitable candidate will have cheffing experience in restaurants and be able to do general kitchen administration and stock control . The position will not require the candidate to be in the kitchen full time , but he or she will assist the kitchen team with food prep from time to time during busy periods.

Duties :

Receive stock, GRV, capture stock

Meticulous in stock issuing

Meticulous in packing stock and stock rotation

Admin functions

Daily food & beverage consumption reporting

Food and beverage ordering

Supervision of deliveries and stock counts

Reconciliation of monthly food costs

Requirements : Grade 12

Experience with stock control / stock rotation / order / procurement

Sound health & hygiene experience or qualifications

Be able to assist with food preparation
