POSITION SUMMARY

Function

The successful incumbents are required to perform duties to ensure the upkeep of all Guest Rooms and Public Areas, as well as perform other duties within the housekeeping department as needed, while complying with all COVID-19 practices and protocols in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in Housekeeping in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel
  • Professional disposition
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Customer service and delivery focus
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Attention to detail in assigned areas
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform cleaning and related functions within the housekeeping department
  2. Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
  3. Access guest rooms in accordance with policies and procedures
  4. Stock supplies and transport carts to assigned areas
  5. Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms
  6. Change linens and make beds
  7. Clean bathrooms
  8. Remove trash, dirty linens, and room service items
  9. Ensure all appliances are present and functioning in guest rooms
  10. Arrange furniture and appliances neatly
  11. Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
  12. Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties
  13. Follow all safety, security, and company policies and procedures
  14. Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  15. Complete required safety training and certifications
  16. Properly store flammable materials
  17. Greet and acknowledge guests according to company standards
  18. Anticipate and address guest service needs
  19. Push and pull loaded carts and work-related equipment over various surfaces
  20. Perform other duties within the housekeeping department as required
