Job description

REGION: Polokwane (to be based in Polokwane) - Covering areas such as Tzaneen, Thohoyandou, and others as defined by RGBC.

OBJECTIVE:

To ensure the effective implementation of the company's sales strategy in (Off-con and limited on-con).

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Brand Availability and Sales Volumes:
    • Achieve availability by channel, as per targets set
    • Ensure correct implementation of brand availability, by channel
    • Drive brand equity as a key activity and activation driver
    • Increase volume through innovative ideas and brand prioritisation per channel
  2. Promotions and Brand Visibility:
    • Implement promotions effectively within brand equity guidelines
    • Promote correct brands in appropriate channels and outlets
    • Implement the National Promotions Strategy
    • Manage ROI of promotions
    • Enhance brand visibility via imagery, displays, staff uniforms, menus, and merchandise
  3. Operational Excellence:
    • Implement and update call cycle correctly
    • Achieve 100% call rate as per the call cycle
    • Ensure outlets are coded correctly
    • Meet all requirements during rep calls
    • Complete administration and reports accurately and on time
  4. Consumer Interaction:
    • Interact responsibly with consumers
    • Collect consumer information aligned with target markets
    • Provide feedback on consumer learning and expectations
  5. Financial Asset Management:
    • Adhere to discount parameters
    • Complete PODs and credit notes promptly
    • Maintain and care for the vehicle
    • Stay within vehicle mileage budget
    • Use promotional stock responsibly
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 3-year Tertiary Education (beneficial)
  • 3 years relevant experience, preferably in FMCG/liquor industry
  • Knowledge of product, service, and category management
  • Understanding of marketing and accounting principles
  • Computer literacy
  • Conceptual and negotiation skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and creativity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Endurance for extended hours
