A leading engineering recruitment agency in South Africa is seeking a Package Engineer for full-time, on-site electrical and instrumentation EPCM projects. The role requires a strong command of ARM standards and substantial experience in the mining sector. Candidates must hold a relevant engineering degree and a project management certificate, along with substantial hands-on experience in electrical engineering responsibilities. Qualifications

  • 8 years of industrial operational experience in mining or plant environments.
  • 4 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician / Engineer.
  • Medical Fitness certificate in accordance with Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate integration of electrical & instrumentation designs with civil and mechanical disciplines.
  • Apply ARM standards and specifications to projects.

Overview

Summary: Full-time On-site Electrical & Instrumentation EPCM projects in the capacity of Package Engineer. To manage / ensure tight integration of E&I detail designs with the other disciplines civil, process and mechanical detail designs. Good command of ARM standards, specifications and design criteria.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include coordinating and ensuring the integration of electrical & instrumentation detail designs with civil, process and mechanical disciplines across EPCM projects, and applying ARM standards, specifications and design criteria to projects.

Qualifications
  • BTech / BEng OR NQF level 7 in Electrical / Electronic engineering
  • Project Management Certificate
  • 8 years of industrial operational experience in a mining or plant environment, and of which 4 years carrying out electrical engineer's responsibilities, as an Instrumentation Technician / Engineer OR E&I capacity
  • Training and Exposure to conduct Risk Assessment & CTA's
  • Medical Fitness certificate in accordance with Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996
  • EC1 driver's license (code 10) is essential
  • None negotiable: Must have a good command of ARM Standards, specifications and design, and good command of equipment testing and commissioning procedures to ensure that it is applied to every project
