Job summary

Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a Financial Adviser to provide proactive financial advice to an allocated market. You will maintain superior service, build client relationships, and recommend sound financial solutions aligned with customer goals and regulatory requirements.

The role includes in-house training, regulatory exams, and ongoing professional development, with a focus on growth across our Finance division. Applicants should be sales-oriented and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• FAIS compliance.
• RE5 an advantage.
• A valid Driver’s licence and your own car.
• A clear criminal and credit check.
• A minimum of 3 years working experience (preferably in sales).
• Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide a quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to secure new business or support retention.
• Solutions Analysis: Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions.
• Receiving Visitors: Receive visitors and assist with information requests, referring complex matters to colleagues.
• CRM Data: Schedule follow-up actions and enter relevant information into the CRM system after each contact.
• Customer Needs Clarification: Set clear objectives for each sales call; tailor materials for decision-makers.
• Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting: Build relationships with decision-makers to enable two-way information flow.
• Operational Compliance: Understand policies and regulatory codes to ensure compliance.
• Business Development: Monitor sales data for a region to identify growth opportunities.
• Sales Opportunities Creation: Develop a network and represent the organization at events.
• Data Exploration: Conduct research to analyze key themes using primary data sources.
• Network of Influence: Demonstrate value of networking within and outside the company.
