Placements24 is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Event Catering Staff to provide exceptional service at various functions around Upington. This contractor role offers flexibility and exposure to the vibrant catering and events industry.

You will assist with setup, serve guests, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with the event team. The position requires strong communication, physical stamina, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to deliver outstanding event experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food service, or event support is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate loads.
• Flexibility to work on-demand, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to undertake various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and setup of catering stations, buffets, and dining areas.
• Serve food and beverages to guests with a focus on presentation and politeness.
• Clear tables, replenish supplies, and maintain the cleanliness of the event space.
• Respond to guest requests and ensure their satisfaction throughout the event.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of the venue after the event concludes.
• Collaborate effectively with the event manager and fellow staff members.
