Job summary

Placements24 in Durban is seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our product development team. You will design intuitive interfaces for web and mobile, translate user needs into engaging experiences, and collaborate with product managers and developers to deliver polished designs.

Responsibilities include user research, creating personas, wireframes and interactive prototypes, usability testing, and ensuring accessibility and brand consistency across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile application designs.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, create user personas, and map user journeys to understand user needs and behaviors.
• Design wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for new features and improvements.
• Develop intuitive and visually appealing UI designs that adhere to brand guidelines and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the accurate implementation of designs.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve user experience.
• Stay current with UX/UI design trends, tools, and technologies.
