Job summary

A global leader in human resources is seeking a Manager - Learning & Development based in Durban. The successful candidate will lead the L&D function, implementing training initiatives aligned with business goals. Key responsibilities include designing leadership development programmes and overseeing the Learning Management System. The ideal applicant will have proven experience in leadership development, exceptional communication skills, and at least 2 years in a management role within L&D. This position requires on-site presence and offers the chance to shape a thriving learning culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Leadership Development.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and Instructional Design.
  • Strong skills in Training Facilitation and Instructional Delivery.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a management or Head of Department role within L&D.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Learning & Development function, aligning training initiatives with business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and implement leadership development programmes.
  • Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and instructional design processes.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions for various levels of the organisation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify skills gaps and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Manage the evaluation of training programmes to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and mentor the L&D team, fostering innovation and professional growth.
