Job description

Dubbing Director & Sound EditorExperience with Dubbing and Audio Visual technology a mustDirecting Working with script translators and direct voice artist Working with Sound Editor to final mix and put sound effects on the final product Build and maintain strong, exceptional relationships with all department heads to make sound decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.

Contribute to the development and implementation of cutting edge dubbing operational systems and processes that provide visibility into day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.

Develop and monitor goals, progress, and obstacles for our key dubbing initiatives.

Uphold organization and industry specific policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed.

Lead teams with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.Recording Set up, maintain and regularly inspect sound equipment Collaborate with a Voice over artists Synchronize video and audio tracks Record, edit and mix audio tracks Test and improve sound quality Add sound effects to recordings Create and update sound libraries Resolve technical problems when they occur Stay up to date with latest trends and best practices Back up all the projects to the Dubbing drive on a daily basis

REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree / Diploma in TV Production or Media Studies Fluency in both English and Zulu an advantage Minimum 3-5 years prior experience in Directing localization and / or creative workflows within the entertainment industry; background in dubbing creation and a passion for languages and translation quality.

2-3 experience in audio-visual technology, knowledge of audio formats, best practices and maintenance Deep understanding of differences and nuances between subtitle and dub translation Highly analytical and able to get to the root cause of a problem; able to creatively figure out a solution or propose changes to existing workflows as required Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, technology, tools, and workflows Attention to detail; organization, problem-solving, analytical and multitasking skills Creativity and the passion to challenge current industry standards Familiarity with the current trends in the local entertainment
