What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and talented Code 14 Driver. The candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining vehicle readiness.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate will join the logistics team. The objective of the role is to provide high‑level customer service when interacting with customers, adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations, and maintain accurate reporting.

The key responsibilities:
  • Perform daily vehicle inspection at the start of shift.
  • Solid understanding of Hazchem regulations.
  • Ensure all delivery documentation are accurate – MSDS, Trem Cards and COA etc.
  • Check stock against invoice/delivery note/manual delivery note/collection notes before leaving the site.
  • Assist with loading and offloading consumables.
  • General assistance in the warehouse and packaging staging area.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • The vehicle driver must ensure all chemicals supply‑chain transfers are completed.
  • The driver may be assisted in completing the documents, but it is the driver’s responsibility.
  • Ensure supply‑chain transfer documents are signed and completed before leaving the site.
  • Ensure that customers sign off supply‑chain transfer and that it is completed in full before leaving the customer’s site.
  • Ensure the load is secured and free from damage.
  • Drive the vehicle to the designated destination as per the address given.
  • Vehicles must be driven safely, obeying all road instructions, municipality by‑laws, and dangerous transportation regulations.
  • Analyse delivery address, determine appropriate routes and maintain schedule.
  • Report any accidents or injuries to supervisors immediately.
  • Ensure that documents such as COA are submitted to customers.
  • Ensure compliance of DGP requirements are met – fire extinguishers, placards and triangle are in the truck daily.
  • A driver will have to carry a licence at all times.
  • Ensure all documents accompany every delivery – MSDS, TREM CARDS, COA’S etc.
  • Keep activities logged on the logbook and log hours daily.
