• Conduct pre-inspections on all roadworthy items.

Job description

Afrirent Auto is looking for a skilled and experienced Code 14 Driver to join our team at the Nigel Depot.

• Chanting and collecting of units from suppliers and taking units for COF.
• Hooking and unhooking of semi-trailers.
• Shunting of trucks to the workshop and parking area.
• Taking trailers for COF.
• Deliveries and collections of parts and consumables.
• Conduct pre-inspections on all roadworthy items of the trailer.
• Apply SHEQ rules and regulations as prescribed by company policy and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Ensure job cards and log sheets are completed according to company policies.
• Perform ancillary duties as determined by management.
• Complete basic administrative functions and documentation at testing grounds.
• Report any damages to company vehicles immediately to management.

Qualifications

Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric certificate, EC License (Code 14) with valid PDP, Experience in driving with links and 27p trailers, Strong communication skills, Ability to follow instructions and maintain high safety standards.
