Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Drill Rig Operator located in Secunda. The Drill Rig Operator will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting drilling equipment safely and efficiently. Daily tasks include performing pre-operational checks, conducting drilling operations as per project specifications, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols. The role also requires coordination with team members to achieve project goals and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and maintaining drill rigs and associated equipment
• Knowledge of drilling operations, techniques, and applicable safety standards
• Ability to perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on drilling equipment
• Strong understanding of safety and procedural compliance in field operations
• Good communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with crew members
• Relevant industry certifications, such as RPL or equivalent, would be an advantage
• Physical fitness and stamina to meet the physical requirements of the role
• Experience in on-site operations, preferably in mining, construction, or a similar field
