Job summary

A leading mining company in Limpopo is seeking a Drill Rig Master to operate drill rigs in accordance with standards. Ivanplats is looking for a Drill Rig Master REF: IVP-ENG-2514.

About Ivanplats

Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium‑rhodium‑nickel‑copper‑gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state‑of‑the‑art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Grade 12
  • License to operate Drill Rig [282 and/or M2C]
  • Mechanised underground mining experience
  • Mechanical skills
Work Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience operating a Drill Rig
  • Experience in the mining environment highly advantageous
Responsibilities
  • Deliver drill work according to Standard Operating Procedures for responsible shift
  • Build good working relationships
  • Manage self and show up as a good team player
  • Reduce costs and waste
