Job summary

Gold One Group Limited is seeking a Draughtsperson (GRADING C4) to prepare and maintain technical drawings for mining operations in Gauteng. The role requires 3–5 years of experience and proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.

The candidate will interpret survey data and engineering designs to produce accurate visuals, ensuring compliance with MHSA and company standards, while collaborating with engineers, surveyors and geologists.

Qualifications

• Matric and a relevant diploma with 3–5 years mining drawing experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of mining layouts, shaft systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update and maintain technical drawings for mining operations and infrastructure.
• Interpret survey data, engineering designs and geological information into detailed drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with MHSA and company standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors and geologists to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control systems.
• Update plans to reflect operational changes underground and on surface.
• Assist with project planning by providing accurate visual representations of designs.

Draughtsperson (GRADING C4)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• National Diploma in Draughting / Engineering Drawing or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Draughtsperson in the mining industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD software.
• Sound knowledge of mining layouts, shaft systems, and infrastructure design.
• Understanding of relevant legislation and safety standards.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

• Experience with 3D modelling software.
• Exposure to underground mining operations (e.g., shafts, decline systems).
• Knowledge of GIS systems or surveying software

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
