PURPOSE

To create accurate technical drawings, bills of materials and machine programs in supporting sales for pricing customers and support production planning for efficient and timely manufacturing.

This role will be shared by Trading Germiston South and Tube and Pipe but will be situated at Macsteel Germiston South.

• Create accurate technical drawings, bills of materials and machine programs to support sales for pricing customers and to support production planning for efficient and timely manufacturing.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum grade 12
• NQF Level 6 Diploma / Advanced Certificate in Structural Steel Detailing / Multi-disciplinary Drawing Office Practice essential
• Minimum 3 years operational experience in Draughting / Structural / Mechanical design essential
• Minimum 1 year expediting experience will be advantageous
• Minimum 1 year production planning experience will be advantageous
• Valid driver;s licence essential
• Knowledge of structural steel would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of the SAP system would also be an added advantage
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Ability to interact with role players at all levels of the organization and outside the organization
• High degree and sense of customer service
• Outstanding written oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong judgement and decision-making skills
• Ability to collaborate across departmental boundaries within and outside the organization
