Domain Advisor Senior Specialist - Cloud Architecture & Advisory (CAA)

This role supports SAP's Customer Success organization within the Cloud Architecture & Advisory (CAA) team.

The Cloud Architect serves as the primary point of contact for all technical topics from the customer perspective and collaborates with internal teams.

Overview

RISE with SAP provides a framework to transform your business in a way that suits your starting point and pace.

A key deployment option is the Private Cloud, offering SAP managed services and cloud infrastructure to complement your SAP ERP investments and customer‑specific configurations.

SAP partners with major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) to enable private cloud deployments and flexible options for SAP S/4 HANA, SAP HANA applications, and related solutions in managed private cloud environments, on SAP datacenters, hyperscalers, or customers' data centers.

Responsibilities

• Present detailed technical and operational aspects of the RISE with SAP Private Cloud.
• Present requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud on hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Lead technical assessment workshops with customers to define future cloud architecture and migration roadmaps with partners, System Integrators, and SAP Professional Services.
• Advise customers on non‑functional capabilities such as Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption.
• Collaborate with the Customer Success organization to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
• Own technical discussions with customers and orchestrate SAP delivery experts as required.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent Business Administration degree from an accredited university.
• High proficiency in customer communications and presentations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
• Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.).
• Good understanding of operating aspects (Application and Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
• Good understanding of capabilities of at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites on short notice.
• Fluency in English is a must; other languages are a plus.

Work Experience

• 8+ years of customer‑facing SAP consulting experience.
• 8+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, and/or SAP implementation experience.
• Experience in a customer‑facing pre‑sales role is an advantage.
• Experience and/or certifications with IaaS providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data centers is a big advantage.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance expertise.
• SAP Application Lifecycle Management and/or SAP Operations.
• ITSM, Service Design & Delivery.
• SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills helpful.
