Introduction

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Distribution Centre Manager to oversee our client's storage operations in Centurion.

The ideal candidate must have strong operational and managerial expertise, thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience managing cold storage facilities.

This role will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the distribution centre while maintaining safety, quality and performance standard.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the distribution centre, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and safety in all activities
• Manage a team of supervisors, warehouse staff and administrative personnel, fostering a high-performance culture
• Plan, implement and monitor operational strategies to meet company goals and KPI's
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and hygiene standards specific to cold storage environments
• Optimize warehouse layout, stock storage, and material handling processes to maximize efficiency
• Monitor inventory levels, stock accuracy and implement measures to prevent loss or damage
• Coordinate with transport and logistics teams to ensure timely distribution of goods
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in warehouse management
• Manage budgets, resources, and operational cost effectively
• Maintain high levels of staff engagement, training and development

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Proven experience as a Warehouse / Distribution Centre Manager or similar operational management role
• Experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled environments is highly desirable
• Strong leadership, managerial, and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management
• Ability to enforce safety and standards and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
