Job summary

A leading retail brand in Cape Town seeks a Visual Merchandising Specialist. You will be responsible for applying visual merchandising principles and guidelines throughout the store, ensuring seasonal looks and correct department layouts. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of retail experience and a strong understanding of visual merchandising specifications. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail clothing store environment.
• Ability to translate Visual Merchandising specifications into store environments.
• Previous experience in a visual merchandising/displayer role advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply VM principles, guidelines and standards in displays and promotions.
• Ensure seasonal look is implemented according to specifications.
• Implement department layouts per promotional principles.
• Ensure proper usage of display equipment and POS material.
• Timely implementation of promotional windows and in-store visuals.
• Maintain effective signage/décor to support promotions.

Minimum requirements

• Matric/Grade 12
• Minimum 2 x years’ experience in a retail clothing store environment
• The ability to translate Visual Merchandising specifications into specific store environments and displays
• Previous experience in a visual merchandising/displayer role will be advantageous

Roles and responsibilities

• Application of VM principles, guidelines and standards (displays, POS, promotions etc.)
• Ensure that the seasonal look is implemented according to specifications throughout the store
• Ensure that department layout are implemented according to specification (Grid, lifestyle, colour blocks and promotional principles per department)
• Ensure correct usage of all display equipment (Fixtures and fittings) and POS material within the store
• Timeous implementation of promotional windows as well as in stores visuals
• Maintain effective utilization of store signage/décor in support of promotions
