Job summary

A light engineering company in Pretoria is looking for a Storeman and dispatch clerk to manage packing orders and inventory control. Responsibilities

Job description

Storeman and dispatch clerk position available at light engineering company in Silverton area, Pretoria.

Responsibilities

• Packing of small part orders for shipment and cross checking to invoices and orders a.
• Preparation of shipments for projects, from packing and picking lists and invoices b.
• Control of spare parts store room, and issue of spare parts to production divisions c.
• Receiving of incoming parts and materials and cross checking to purchase orders e.
• Packing received parts to the correct bins from the bill of materials, and issuing the complete part bins to the production division f.
• Weekly stock counting of minimum stock items g.
• Assisting in maintenance of factory h.
• Housekeeping in the factory and warehouse.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 10 completed.
• Good verbal communication in Afrikaans / English.
• Attention to detail.
• Good written communication.
• Experience in basic Microsoft Office package - Excel, Access, Outlook.
• Experience in an engineering environment would be preferable, and knowledge and ability to identify for example drive components such as bearings, pulleys, gearboxes etc.
• Valid forklift license will be advantageous.
