SUMMARY

The Dispatch Clerk is responsible for supporting the picking, packing, and delivery of customer orders, while ensuring all related administrative tasks are accurately completed. This includes maintaining dispatch records, verifying stock, coordinating with internal teams, and helping to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations in the dispatch area.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Grade 12
  • A formal qualification in Logistics Management would be advantageous
Skills and Experience
  • Experience working in a Distribution Centre or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of delivery planning and administration.
  • Understanding of customer and supplier service standards.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Good numerical ability for data capturing and checking.
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities
Picking and Packing
  • Run the Red & Green report to identify orders ready for picking and invoicing.
  • Upload PODs and pick slips to Navision and OneDrive.
  • Coordinate daily in‑ and outbound orders with Logistics and Customer Service.
  • Assist with customer collections.
  • Support dispatch operations in the absence of the Despatch Coordinator.
Inventory Management
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to verify stock on the floor.
  • Assist with bin checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
General Support
  • Support Health & Safety compliance.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the Goods Receiving and Distribution areas.
