A Dispatch Clerk is responsible for managing the dispatch of goods, vehicles, or personnel to ensure efficient operations. They coordinate scheduling, maintain records, communicate with drivers, and ensure timely deliveries. This role often involves communicating with customers and other staff to resolve issues and provide updates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Routing – Organizing and scheduling the movement of goods, vehicles, or personnel, often using software and technology.
  • Communication – Communicating with drivers, customers, and other staff to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Record Keeping – Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, shipments, and other relevant information.
  • Order Processing – Taking orders from customers, entering details into a system, and assigning drivers.
  • Problem Solving – Addressing and resolving issues that may arise during the delivery process.
  • Inventory Management – Verifying stock against picking slips, managing delivery returns, and preparing stock reports.
  • Documentation – Ensuring all dispatch-related documents are accurate and complete.
  • Customer Service – Providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Coordination – Coordinating with pharmacy staff, suppliers, and other logistics personnel.
