Discovery Limited is seeking a Disability Claims Assessor to identify, assess and manage disability claims from early identification through lifecycle. You will work with internal and external stakeholders and lead reporting and team initiatives to improve claim efficiency and quality.

The role requires advanced Excel skills, excellent communication, and sound clinical knowledge. You will collaborate with Medical Officers, reinsurers and legal officers while meeting tight deadlines.

Formación

• Allied professional degree from a registered university.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, physiotherapy or speech therapy, or related professions.
• Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation recommended but not required.
• 2-5 years of clinical experience in relevant field.
• 2-5 years insurance experience preferred but not required.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Validate and assess disability claims per policy with a client-centric approach.
• Review disability claims within authority targets and service levels.
• Make medically researched, legally defensible final decisions.
• Communicate requirements and progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Maintain professional written and verbal communication aligned with policy.
• Mentor and develop disability claims team members and participate in projects.
