Role Overview

This role focuses on assessing, managing, and finalising disability claims while ensuring compliance with company policy and service standards.

It requires a balance of technical expertise, medical knowledge, and strong stakeholder management.

In addition to handling claims, you will contribute to process improvements, provide guidance to team members, and support broader projects within the Disability Claims team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate, review, and assess disability claims in line with policy, authority structures, and client service levels.
  • Make fair, medically researched, and legally defensible decisionsmunicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders, ensuring a client-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with medical officers, reinsurers, legal officers, rehabilitation consultants, and investigators.
  • Support the development of team members through training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to process improvements, audits, compliance reviews, and innovation initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-team collaboration and projects aimed at improving claim management processes.

  • 2–5 years of clinical experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in insurance, claims assessment, or the wellness sector (preferred).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Vocational Rehabilitation experience or a related diploma would be an advantage.
