SUMMARY :

As Financial Director, you will be driving the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.

POSITION INFO :

We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial aspects of business and drive the company''''s financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments. As a reliable professional, you will have a broad knowledge to all , financial and business principles. As a strategic thinker and effective leader you can make the most profitable decisions, guiding the company towards profitability and long-term success.

The position is based in Cape Town city centre.

Requirements :

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• SAIPA / CIMA / plus
• Proficient in the use of financial management software eg. SAP and other
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecastingOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Analytical mind with a strategic ability
• In depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
• Proven experience as director of finance or similar role

Responsibilities :

• Drive the of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
• Retain constant awareness of the company''''s financial position and act to prevent problems
• Set up and oversee the company''''s finance IT system
• Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance staff - management accountants, internal auditors and more
• Oversee all audit and internal control operations
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
• Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
• Be responsible for the company''''s long‑term financial health and growth
• Establish strategies that will earn profits, oversee accounting operations, produce accurate reports on where money is going within the business
• Improve or change current practices to increase efficiency
