About the role

As the Director of Sales you will assist in maximising sales, revenue and room night goals across all B2B travel segments for the group across the French, Benelux, Swiss (French speaking) and Spanish markets.

You will represent the company, ensuring that all dealings with clients and our hotels are conducted in a professional manner upholding the Shangri-La image.

Key responsibilities
  • Work in co‑ordination with the AVP Global Sales (Europe) to produce the annual strategy plan and GSO Paris budget for French speaking source markets and Spain.
  • Build a clear plan to achieve the agreed goals and objectives set out in the annual sales plan.
  • Manage key corporate accounts, RFPs and respective TMC relationships with a global approach to account management, expanding our reach in order to grow market share.
  • Focus on key MICE accounts to ensure maximum exposure is secured for our hotels at every opportunity, and handle group requests and follow‑ups with our hotel teams.
  • Maintain and further develop business from luxury & leisure travel agents and agency partners to achieve or exceed targeted revenue goals.
  • Plan and execute our participation at market related trade shows, exhibitions, and sales missions.
About you

You should be an experienced hotel salesperson (minimum 5+ years experience in a similar role) currently working within French speaking source markets. You should be good at problem solving, and administrative and interpersonal skills are a must.
