About the Role

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote the company and its products or services. They play a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads / customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Marketing Strategy and Expansion
    • Develop and implement local market strategies to identify residential, commercial and industrial energy storage demands, and achieve sales targets.
    • Develop and implement a cohesive digital marketing plan to increase brand awareness and revenue.
    • Set current and long‑term goals for internal teams.
    • Design and review the Marketing department's budget.
    • Plan brand promotion activities based on the budget and goals.
  2. Customer and Channel Management
    • Develop and maintain core customers such as local installers, EPC companies, industrial parks, etc., establish a stable distribution network, and promote cooperation implementation.
    • Guide the content team in crafting engaging and SEO‑friendly content.
    • Collaborate with other teams and departments to integrate marketing strategies.
    • Coordinate with the sales and product teams, adapt to local market demands, and solve all‑round issues in client cooperation.
  3. Brand and Event Promotion
    • Plan and execute industry exhibitions, offline roadshows, etc.
    • Utilize digital channels to enhance the brand's visibility and recognition in the South African market.
    • Launch and oversee online adverts through Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. to increase company and brand awareness.
    • Oversee SEO and SEM strategies.
    • Manage email and social media marketing campaigns.
    • Track South African policy developments, competitor actions and industry trends, and regularly produce market analysis reports to support headquarters' decision‑making.
    • Use analytical tools to monitor and evaluate the company's digital marketing strategy's effectiveness.
    • Maintain knowledge of the marketing technology landscape, analytics, and business intelligence.
    • Provide end‑to‑end project management for all digital campaigns.
  4. Market Intelligence Collection
    • Track South African policy developments, competitor actions and industry trends, and regularly produce market analysis reports to support headquarters' decision‑making.
  5. Innovation and Adaptation
    • Identify and test new digital platforms and tools.
    • Stay up‑to‑date with digital technology developments.
    • Adapt strategies based on analytical data and emerging trends.
  6. Communication
    • Communicate digital marketing plans and strategies to senior management.
    • Supervise the design of all digital media elements including the company website and individual project microsites.
Candidate Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital technologies, or related field.
Certifications (optional but beneficial)
  • Certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, HubSpot, or other relevant digital marketing certifications.
Experience
  • Proven work experience as a Digital marketing strategist or Digital marketing manager within the Renewable energy sector and have Renewable Energy product knowledge such as batteries, solar panels, inverters, etc.
  • Strong experience with SEO / SEM, Google Analytics, and CRM software.
  • Experience planning and executing exhibitions.
  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems.
