Job description
Your Contribution

As a Digital Learning Content Producer at ITONICS, you will play a central role in building and scaling a high-quality learning experience for the ITONICS Academy. This role is designed for an experienced content professional who combines strong hands‑on production skills with the ability to independently manage workflows, stakeholders, and quality standards. You will operate with a high degree of ownership across the full content lifecycle. While the role is based onsite in Cape Town and requires regular in‑office collaboration, you must also be fully equipped to work with distributed teams, subject matter experts, and external partners in a highly professional remote setup. Success in this role depends on initiative, judgement, and the ability to keep complex content operations running smoothly without constant direction.

Your Day‑to‑Day Tasks
Content production and editorial leadership
  • Own the translation of briefs and subject‑matter expert input into clear, structured learning narratives with strong didactic clarity and editorial consistency.
  • Lead script development, reviews, and refinements, balancing accuracy, learner engagement, and production efficiency.
  • Execute hands‑on video editing while setting and maintaining a consistent quality bar across all Academy content.
  • Take responsibility for final asset readiness, including titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions, chaptering, and quality assurance.
Platform operations and content governance
  • Own the structure, cleanliness, and long‑term maintainability of the learning content library.
  • Ensure disciplined version control, particularly for software onboarding content that must stay aligned with frequent product updates.
  • Actively identify friction points in the learner experience and propose concrete improvements to navigation, sequencing, and content formats.
Workflow ownership and coordination
  • Manage production workflows end‑to‑end, including planning, timelines, dependencies, approvals, and prioritisation.
  • Coordinate confidently across Marketing, Product Management, and Subject Matter Experts, acting as the connective tissue between content, product, and learning goals.
  • Oversee and brief external contributors where required, ensuring outputs meet editorial, brand, and technical standards.
Your Skills & Qualifications
REQUIRED
  • 4–6+ years of professional experience producing learning content, corporate video, or digital training content in a structured, end‑to‑end capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in both hands‑on editorial production roles and content/project coordination or oversight roles.
  • Strong editorial judgement, with the ability to independently shape complex subject matter into clear, accurate, and engaging learning experiences.
  • Advanced proficiency in video editing and post‑production workflows, with confidence owning quality standards rather than just executing tasks.
  • Experience working in LMS or CMS environments, with a disciplined approach to content structuring, metadata, versioning, and long‑term maintenance.
  • High degree of ownership and initiative, with the ability to manage work independently, anticipate issues, and continuously improve processes.
  • Comfortable working primarily onsite while maintaining a high standard of professionalism in remote collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken, with strong attention to detail.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience acting as a bridge between creative production and operational delivery, rather than operating purely as an individual contributor.
  • Exposure to instructional design principles and learning experience optimisation.
  • Experience producing or maintaining SaaS product onboarding or enablement content.
  • Basic motion graphics skills to support simple explanatory or navigational elements.
