Absa Bank Limited is seeking a Digital Forensics and Technology Threat Manager to oversee fraud prevention and detection across digital platforms. You will drive risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and report on fraud trends while leading a skilled team of professionals.

The role requires strong analytics, leadership, and excellent stakeholder communication to balance security with customer experience.

Qualifications

BSc in Computer Science or equivalent cyber/IT governance qualifications (e.g., GIAC, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGERT, PMP).
CFE Certification preferred.
6–8 years in financial services with specialization in digital forensics, payments, or cyber-enabled fraud.
Strong data analytics and reporting capabilities.
Deep understanding of cyber risk frameworks and IT operations.
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Proven leadership and team management experience.
Education: Bachelor's Degree and Professional Qualifications in Risk Management.

Responsibilities

Fraud Strategy & Execution: Lead fraud prevention and detection strategies across digital and technology platforms.
Risk & Control Management: Drive fraud risk assessments for new and existing digital products.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate fraud risks and mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of fraud and technology professionals.
