Job Title: Digital Engagement Specialist

The world’s leading independent conservation organisation is seeking a skilled Digital Engagement Specialist to manage and optimise its website and digital platforms. This role focuses on website content management, design, and optimisation (60%), alongside digital engagement initiatives (40%) that drive web traffic, grow the supporter base, and inspire deeper audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, update, and optimise websites and campaign landing pages to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Create, edit, and publish compelling digital content that aligns with communication, fundraising, and environmental goals.
  • Use SEO insights, A/B testing, and analytics to continuously refine content and improve visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate with social media, communications, and fundraising teams to ensure messaging and campaigns are consistent across platforms.
  • Support digital engagement strategies, including email campaigns, cross-platform user journeys, and landing page optimisation to improve conversions.
  • Leverage CRM and marketing automation tools to segment audiences, nurture supporter journeys, and boost engagement and retention.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on digital performance metrics, making recommendations for improvements and innovations.
  • Stay up to date with digital trends and propose new ideas to grow online reach and supporter engagement.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in communications, marketing, media, design, or web development.
  • 3+ years’ experience in website management, digital content, or online marketing.
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms, SEO, analytics tools, and UX best practices.
  • Skills in content creation, HTML/CSS, and image/video editing tools.
  • Experience with (or eagerness to learn) CRM and automation platforms such as HubSpot.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Passion for conservation and environmental issues.
