Position

Digital Delivery Modeler – Structures

Location: Randburg, South Africa

Reports to: Technical Principal, Digital Delivery Lead or other appointed supervisor.

Primary Purpose: Provide and undertake complex design modelling and production tasks, prepare tender/construction documents, and provide technical support services to meet functional group and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce efficient, high-quality models, drawings and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a library of standard details and Revit families.
• Assist Senior Modellers and Engineers with research and innovation.
• Assist with improving efficiency using plugins and workflows to save time on repetitive tasks in modelling and annotation.
• Use office systems relevant to tasks.
• Ensure appropriate technical and model/drawing standards and quality procedures are maintained on all projects.
• Ensure projects are documented within guidelines set by supervisor.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure project deadlines and documentation standards are met.
• Take ownership and responsibility for own work.
• Consult directly with Engineers.
• Training of more junior staff.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers and other offices.
• Prepare and produce Issue Slips.
• Assist with quantity measurements.

Recommended Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• National Diploma (Civil Engineering or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
• 5+ years minimum modelling and production experience.
• Structural experience.
• Experience in the use of Autodesk software, with specific focus on Revit and other relevant software.
• Understand the use and importance of standards in the application of software tools.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within project teams.
• Experience with or knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper and other productivity plug‑ins is advantageous.
