Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a detail-oriented legal content professional to help deliver timely current awareness news and commentary for customers in a global market. The role focuses on researching, drafting, reviewing, and publishing high-quality legal news content with collaboration across internal and external contributors.

You will support the Lexis+ UK current awareness and LexisAsk services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to house style, while managing multiple deadlines

About The Role

In this role, you will help provide practical legal guidance and market insight by contributing to the smooth running of current awareness services. You will research, write, review, and publish high-quality legal news content, helping legal professionals stay informed about important legal developments. Working collaboratively with internal and external contributors, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely, and customer-focused legal intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Lexis+ UK current awareness news and LexisAsk service for customers
• Drafting and reviewing legal news articles and Supreme Court enhanced coverage of cases for the current awareness service
• Delivering high standard and customer-ready news items that are delivered on the day, are factually correct, well written and adhere to LN house style
• Sourcing external authors and liaising with them to provide commentary for enhanced news pieces and to repurpose externally written articles for the current awareness service
• Applying taxonomy to news items consistently and accurately

Requirements

• Possess a strong understanding of legal principles gained through relevant professional experience, legal training or education
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail with a strong quality-focused approach
• Exhibit excellent legal research, analytical, and written communication skills
• Possess a solid understanding of legal issues, procedures, and a wide range of legal content types
• Show the ability to think creatively, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work effectively under strict deadlines, and take a proactive approach to tasks and challenges
• Communicate clearly, confidently, and persuasively with a broad range of audiences, including senior stakeholders
• Be an innovative and solutions-driven problem solver, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team to resolve issues
• Demonstrate an understanding of, and openness to using, social media, digital tools, and emerging technologies
