Position Overview
South Africa’s leading online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Digital Campaign Specialist to join our e‑retail media advertising team in our Cape Town offices. We are a young, dynamic, hyper‑growth company looking for smart, creative, hard‑working people with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective campaign planning and execution against set targets and budgets.
- Manage the full life cycle of digital advertising campaigns from enquiry stage to completion, including proposals, booking into Asana, insertion order and contract completion.
- Prompt buyers and suppliers for briefs, check stock, align on brief objectives and liaise with clients on creative assets.
- Plan, project‑manage, schedule and implement comprehensive advertising campaigns to achieve established marketing objectives.
- Compile full reports and send detailed post‑campaign reports to clients.
- Work alongside the performance campaign manager and account managers on campaign strategies and evaluate non‑performers.
- Monitor on‑schedule delivery, troubleshoot targeting issues, resolve traffic issues and reconcile discrepancies.
- Schedule and book approved campaigns into Asana cross‑referencing with master calendars and Google Sheets.
- Develop and implement advertising strategies to enhance brand awareness and achieve advertising goals across various channels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content aligned with the overall strategy.
- Utilize analytics tools to track campaign performance, generate reports and provide insights to improve future campaigns.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital marketing to suggest and implement innovative campaign ideas.
- Coordinate with external agencies or vendors when necessary to support campaign objectives.
Qualifications
- An advertising / marketing or related qualification (Higher Certificate).
- Minimum 2 years of digital campaign management experience.
- Smart, hard‑working, with demonstrable integrity and a passion for online digital marketing.
- Bias towards action and solution‑oriented, a self‑starter and fast learner with an active thirst for knowledge.
- Willing to take direction and able to work independently, demonstrating initiative.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and able to multi‑task to meet tight deadlines.
- Confident, with very strong interpersonal & communication skills and a proven ability to build productive relationships quickly.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets and Microsoft Office.
- Expertise in using digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Ads, Ads Manager, Google Analytics and other relevant tools.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting data to make informed decisions and optimizations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and implement innovative campaign ideas.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in digital marketing.
