JVR Software, Springs-based opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to maintain, service and repair a range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment within an abattoir environment. The role focuses on servicing trucks, tractors, front-end loaders and diesel generators, with strong fault-finding and preventive maintenance skills required to minimise downtime and keep equipment reliable.

You will work independently, diagnose faults, perform repairs and maintain documentation of maintenance

Qualifications

Relevant hands-on experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
Practical experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing diesel equipment.
Experience working on trucks, tractors, front-end loaders and diesel generators.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to perform servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance independently.

Responsabilités

Service and repair 8-ton and 14-ton trucks.
Maintain and repair tractors and front-end loaders.
Service and maintain diesel generators.
Perform fault-finding and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on diesel-powered equipment.
