Diesel Mechanic – Sunlands, Eastern Cape

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team and grow our footprint in the wood chipping industry. This position is located in Sunlands, Eastern Cape, and requires daily travel.

Responsibilities

• Determine the condition of equipment by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety by completing preventive maintenance schedules and installing component and/or part upgrades.
• Repair, adjust, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies and sub-assemblies as needed to restore proper operation.
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and keeping stock of tools and parts required to perform preventive maintenance.
• Service machines of ABC and external clients.
• Maintain vehicle/equipment records by annotating services and repairs.
• Develop job-related skills by engaging in educational opportunities, reviewing technical publications, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Strengthen the reputation of the maintenance department by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different challenges.

Desired Experience And Qualification
