Job summary

A leading food company in Mpumalanga is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to maintain and service a fleet of commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate must have a Trade Test Certificate, hands-on experience with Isuzu trucks, and a Code C1 driver’s license. Responsibilities include roadside assistance and maintaining safety standards. Must be reliable, able to work independently, and willing to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ hands-on experience with all Isuzu makes and models trucks and Isuzu LDV’S.
• Auto electrical experience will be an advantage.
• Code C1 driver’s license with valued PDP.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of the vehicle fleet consisting of trucks and LDV’S.
• Roadside assistance for breakdowns.
• Perform minor auto electrical work.
• Complete job cards timeously.
• Keep all main functions up to date.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations.

Purpose of the position

The successful incumbent will be responsible for servicing, maintenance and repairs of a fleet of commercial vehicles and LDV’S.

Qualifications and experience

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (N3 and Trade Test Certificate)
• 3 years’ hands on experience with all Isuzu makes and models trucks and Isuzu LDV’S
• Auto electrical experience will be an advantage

• Auto electrical work

• Good written and verbal communication skills
