Route Management in Bloemfontein seeks a skilled diesel technician to service and repair heavy vehicles. You will diagnose engine issues, perform repairs, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

You will maintain maintenance schedules, record work orders, and conduct test drives after service to verify quality. The role requires meticulous workmanship and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Repair diesel engines and all components to ensure optimal engine performance.
• Conduct fault analysis inspections to determine component failure causes.
• Correct vehicle defects by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling and replacing worn parts per procedures.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules on an ongoing basis.
• Capture daily work orders and complete job cards for each completed task.
• Test drive heavy vehicles after service and repair to verify fixes.

Responsibilities

• Repairing diesel engines and all the components to ensure the engines operate efficiently.
• Conducting route cause failure analysis inspections to determine the cause of failure on components.
• Correcting vehicle (defects) by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing impaired parts or components according to Company procedure.
• Ensuring the continuous upkeep of preventive maintenance schedules
• Collect work orders daily and complete job cards for every completed task.
• Test drive heavy vehicles after service and repair.
