A leading tech firm is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their team in South Africa. The successful candidate will design and implement CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and automate tasks to ensure high system availability. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience, strong skills in automation and cloud technologies, and knowledge of CI/CD tools. Travel may be required, and eligibility for UK security clearance is necessary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years practical experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Experience in implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible or equivalent.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Powershell or similar).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
• Willingness to travel to client locations if required.
• Eligibility for UK secure clearance.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will have experience in automation, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and system monitoring. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems. Over time you’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of assignments across a broad portfolio of clients from many sectors e.g., Public Sector, Health, Finance, Energy, Transport, Retail, and Manufacturing. You’ll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working collaboratively with business units and multidisciplinary teams.
