Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver assigned work with accountability, collaborating with senior engineers to align with cloud and DevOps best practices.
• Communicate technical ideas clearly about cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies to stakeholders.
• Adapt to evolving business needs in a fast-paced, cloud-centric environment ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.
• Research and implement cloud-native tools in Azure and AWS to enhance deployment efficiency, observability, and platform reliability.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to manage infrastructure in a version-controlled, repeatable manner.
• Support cloud-hosted applications on a 24/7 roster, contributing to incident resolution and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in daily stand-ups with DevOps and development teams to discuss deployment, monitoring, and security.
• Engage early in project lifecycles to ensure infra, logging, and monitoring requirements are considered from the start.
• Maintain documentation of cloud infrastructure, dependencies, and procedures for knowledge transfer and reliability.
• Platform Operations across Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ELK Stack, Cloudflare, MySQL, MongoDB to ensure HA and scalability.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Automation on Azure and AWS using IaC (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline).
• Kubernetes & Rancher : Deploy/manage on AKS, EKS, self-managed; monitor with Prometheus/Grafana.

What you'll be doing

The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in driving the adoption and successful operation of Kubernetes and Cloud platforms within our organization, contributing to the overall efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our containerized infrastructure and applications.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

• Owning and delivering assigned work with accountability, while collaborating closely with senior engineers and architects to align with cloud and DevOps best practices.

• Researching and implementing cloud-native tools and services within the Azure and AWS ecosystems to enhance deployment efficiency, observability, and platform reliability.
• Applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to manage infrastructure in a version-controlled, repeatable manner.
• Supporting cloud-hosted applications as part of a 24/7 support roster, contributing to incident resolution and knowledge sharing to reduce operational dependencies.
• Participating in daily stand‑ups with DevOps and development teams to provide updates, raise blockers, and contribute to discussions on deployment, monitoring, and security.
• Engaging early in project lifecycles to ensure infrastructure, logging, and monitoring requirements are considered from the start, aligning with Azure/AWS architecture and compliance standards.
• Maintaining documentation of cloud infrastructure, application dependencies, and operational procedures to support knowledge transfer and system reliability.
• Platform Operations : Work across a diverse stack including Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ELK Stack, Cloudflare, MySQL, and MongoDB. Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of these systems.
• Cloud Infrastructure & Automation : Support and enhance cloud-native infrastructure on Azure and AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation). Automate deployments and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
• Kubernetes & Rancher : Deploy and manage containerized applications on AKS, EKS, and self‑managed clusters. Use Rancher for multi‑cluster management, RBAC, and GitOps integration. Monitor and troubleshoot workloads using Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud‑native tools.
• DevOps Practices : Participate in daily stand‑ups, support rosters, and project planning. Ensure observability, security, and compliance are embedded in all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Security & Monitoring : Implement cloud and container security best practices, manage secrets (e.g., Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), and ensure systems are monitored for performance and availability.
• Collaboration & Growth : Work closely with developers, architects, and other DevOps engineers. Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and mentoring within the team.
