Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is recruiting for a Developer for our client in the North of Johannesburg, Randburg, South Africa. The Developers focus will be AI, with strong software development capability and the ability to create, develop and implement AI capabilities.

The client is looking for someone with practical technical experience rather than someone who has simply had exposure to AI tools. The ideal candidate will have practical technical experience rather than surface exposure to AI

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of relevant software development experience.
• Practical AI experience, including developing or integrating AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience with Client Server / .Net Remoting / Windows Services.
• Experience with C# / .Net.
• Angular or React experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of XML/JSON and REST APIs.
• Database experience with Cosmos DB or MS SQL Server.
• Cloud platforms (Azure advantageous).

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of relevant software development experience
• Practical experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including developing or integrating AI and AI-enabled solutions
• Experience with any of the following:

• Client Server / .Net Remoting / Windows Services
• C# / .Net
• Angular / React (advantageous)
• XML / JSON

• Extensive experience with:
• Relational as well as non-relational databases (Cosmos and MSSQL advantageous)
• Cloud platforms (Azure advantageous)
• REST APIs
• Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks
• Debugging production issues in high availability systems
• Integrating with 3rd party systems
• Advantageous:
• CI/CD Pipelines and deployment processes
• Elasticsearch

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum: Diploma or related qualification in Software Development, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Preferred: Degree in B.Eng., B.Sc., B.Com or related qualification in IT or Software Development, with additional qualifications or certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science or related fields advantageous.
