Introduction

We are looking to recruit 1 permanent Dispatch Clerk to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based in our Bloemfontein branch, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Purpose
  • To ensure that customer orders are correctly, accurately and timeously checked into the dispatch routes in order to meet stipulated dispatch and delivery cut off times in terms of UPD SOPs.
Job Objective
  • Ensure that completed customer orders are correctly, accurately and timeously checked into the dispatch routes in order to meet stipulated dispatch and delivery cut off times in terms of UPD SOPs.
  • Ensure that final trip sheets and all dispatch documentation is correctly, timeously and accurately prepared and that UPD SOPs are adhered to
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in your allocated dispatch cage/area are maintained and that necessary equipment is available and maintained in an orderly manner.
  • Ensure that any errors found are rectified, recorded and reported to the department head at the end of each cut off.
  • Ensure that any breakages/spillages are immediately reported to the department head and Pharmacist and are recorded and cleaned up immediately in terms of UPD SOPs.
  • Comply with and meet operational cost containment targets and stipulated cut off times and deadlines
Minimum Requirements
Experience and Education
  • Matric / Grade 12 or Abet level 4
  • Basic product knowledge
  • Warehousing and distribution industry knowledge
  • SAP and KNAPP experience is crucial
