Job summary

A leading global logistics company in South Africa is seeking a Responsible Pharmacist to manage business compliance with regulations and operational requirements. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant pharmacy qualification and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of the Pharmacy and Medicines Control Acts and SAP is preferred. This position offers a chance to contribute to quality management in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar environment with related knowledge and/or skill.
  • Working knowledge of the Pharmacy and Medicines and Related Substances Control Acts.
  • Knowledge of Good Wholesale / Distribution Practices in South Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Assume the responsibilities of the Responsible Pharmacist in their absence.
  • Manage control and maintain the RSA's certified Quality Management Systems.
  • Manage business compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume the responsibilities of the Responsible Pharmacist – Imperial Health Sciences Centurion, in their absence.
  • Manage control and maintain the RSA's certified Quality Management Systems to meet continual improvement of the established Quality Management System.
  • Manage business compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum tertiary qualification (Pharm, B.Sc. Pharm).
  • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar environment with related knowledge and/or skill.
  • Working knowledge of the Pharmacy and Medicines and Related Substances Control Acts.
  • Knowledge of Good Wholesale / Distribution Practices in South Africa.
  • Computer literacy – knowledge of SAP preferable.
