Requirements
  • BDS or equivalent qualification. Minimum of one-year post community service experience. Registration with the HPCSA as a Dentist in the independent practice category. RECOMMENDATIONS: Demonstration of interest in discipline will be advantageous.
Duties
  • During the contracted period, the incumbent will be responsible for service rendering, admission and emergency screening, undergraduate teaching and training including lectures, clinical supervision and pre-clinical training and participation in journal club discussions. In the two years, the candidate must register for and successfully complete an MSc Dent in Oral Medicine, Periodontology or Implantology. Every 6 months, the performance of the incumbent will be reviewed, with the contract renewable after a year based on satisfactory performance. Maximum contract period is two years.
