You will perform comprehensive examinations, develop tailored treatment plans, and provide preventative and restorative care while educating patients and maintaining records in line with HPCSA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
• Completion of compulsory community service in South Africa.
• Active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in good standing.
• Registration with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) and a valid practice number (if applicable).
• Valid professional malpractice insurance.
• Compliance with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements as prescribed by HPCSA.
• Knowledge of South African dental regulations, infection control standards, and ethical guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and accurately diagnose oral health conditions.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
• Perform preventative, restorative, and general dental procedures in line with professional standards.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and available treatment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility requirements.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with oral hygienists, dental assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.
• Ensure clinical practice aligns with ethical and professional standards set by HPCSA.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to remain current with dental practices, guidelines, and technologies.
