Job summary

Astral Foods Ltd in Pretoria seeks a driver for delivery, administration and collection of eggs and day-old chicks. You will be responsible for on-route deliveries, associated admin, and ensuring our vehicles present a professional image. The role requires a Code 14 license with PDP, at least 3 years driving experience, and willingness to work weekends, nights, and public holidays. Fluency in English or Afrikaans is preferred, with sober habits and reliable transport essential.

Responsibilities

Role

Delivery, administration and collection of eggs and day old chicks.

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Responsible for basic administration duties required from the position
• Responsible for any company vehicle that you drive
• Delivering / collecting of eggs and / or day-old chicks on all routes designated to you
• Making sure that the appearance of the company vehicle is a credit to the company at all times
• Adhering to and maintaining the 20 keys model in the department
• Adhering to Health and Safety Policies and procedures

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements

• Must be matriculated
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a code 14 driver
• Must have a code 14 driver’s license and PDP
• Ability to communicate and liaise at all levels
• Must be willing to work weekends including overtime, night shift and public holidays
• Be of sober habits and be presentable at all times
• Fluent in English or Afrikaans
• Must have own reliable transport
