Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deli Manager to oversee daily operations of the deli department within our retail chain. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires hands-on management of food preparation, merchandising, team supervision, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of deli operations including food preparation, inventory control, and merchandising.
  • Lead and motivate deli team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation to meet brand standards.
  • Develop weekly schedules, manage labor costs, and oversee training and development of staff.
  • Handle ordering, receiving, and stock rotation of deli products.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Implement promotional activities and seasonal displays to drive sales.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in deli or food service management, preferably within a retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP procedures.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Experience with inventory systems and point-of-sale operations.
  • Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
